Conservation areas and changes to a home
A conservation area protects the character of an area. A listed building is a separate designation. A nearby listed asset does not make this house listed.
Some changes that would normally be permitted can need consent. Article 4 directions may remove particular permitted development rights. Local rules and the exact works matter.
Before pricing an extension or replacement windows, ask the local planning authority and conveyancer to confirm restrictions. Missing public records do not establish unrestricted development.
